A Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, at Christina Lake Lutheran Church in Melby, MN, with Pastor Nathan Hanson officiating. Barrett, Minnesota Gerald Olson 1940 — 2022 Gerald Lawrence Olson was born October 3, 1940, in Erdahl, Minnesota, the son of Lawrence and Evelyn (Carlson) Olson. Jerry grew up in Hoffman and graduated from Hoffman High School with the class of 1958. Jerry was married, and to this union three boys were born. They made their home in Plymouth, Minnesota where Jerry was a Local 544 Teamsters Union truck driver. He drove for United Van Bus and Wintz Trucking, retiring after thirty-one years. Milton Roger Lien was born on June 9, 1931, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota the son of Melvin and Ragna (Sund) Lien. Milton married Beverly Hanson on September 9, 1995, in Princeton. They lived on the Lien farm before moving into their home in Battle Lake. He spent his entire life farming the same land that was homesteaded by his grandfather in 1870. He enjoyed all aspects of farming, loved raising cattle, and farmed until he was eighty-eight years old.
