Arknights features a thematic blend of storytelling and tower-defense RPG gameplay. Captivating the hearts of millions of players worldwide, the most thrilling part for many gamers is pulling for their favourite operators! Through this guide, we will be explaining all the mechanics associated with the recruitment system and help you get your favourite operator! Keep in mind, recruitment/gacha system is completely dependent on your luck, so the results may vary player-to-player. With that out of the way, let’s proceed!
How Recruitment Works in Arknights?
There are two ways to find new Operators in Arknights. The first is Headhunting, the classic gacha mechanism in which tickets and premium currency are used to pluck a haphazard selection of allies. The second method is called “Recruitment”, wherein players use a Recruitment Ticket and LMD to receive a semi-random Operator. Players can get 6-Star operators using both the methods, but personally Headhunting is much more reliable.
Recruitment Inputs
Every new hire will receive five semi-random Tags that represent different aspects of the Operators. The user can select one of three tags to change how the recruitment turns out. The four Tag Classifications are as follows:
Qualification: Starter, Senior Operator, Top Operator
Position: Melee, Ranged
Class: Vanguard, Medic, Guard, Supporter, Caster, Defender, Sniper, Special
Affix: Debuff, Support, Slow, DPS, Healing, DP-Recovery, Survival, Defense, AoE, Fast-Redeploy, Shift, Summon, Crowd-Control, Nuker, Robot.
Recruitment Period
The duration of the recruitment process can be adjusted in 10-minute increments from 0 to 9 hours. Selecting lengthier recruitment periods decreases the chance of receiving lower rarity Operators and also reduces the possibility of one of the Tags being withdrawn from the search. However, as time goes on, the LMD cost of the recruiting rises.
An expedited plan can be used to finish the recruiting as soon as the recruitment period begins. Using an expedited plan has no consequences; the outcomes are the same as they would have been had the recruitment period ended properly.
Strategies and Tips for Recruitment
Here are some amazing tips and strategies to help you get started with the Recruitment process:
- Tag Selection – Players should, whenever feasible, select a set of Tags that ensures either a high-rarity Operator or the particular one they are searching for. To lower the likelihood of losing a Tag, Recruitment Time should be set to the maximum of 9 hours once a suitable combination has been established.
- LMD Recruitment Fees – The player can save LMD on recruitment fees by setting the Recruitment Time to 7:40:00, which is the minimum amount of time that ensures at least a 3*, if no set of Tags assures a desired Operator.
- Recruiting High Rarity Operators – High rarity Operators are guaranteed by the rare tags Senior and Top Operator. Prioritize these as soon as they arrive, of course, and select the longest Recruitment Period possible to lessen or completely eliminate the possibility that these Tags will be eliminated.
- Building HR Office in Base – Rerolling Recruitment Tags and unlocking up to four more Recruitment slots can be achieved by building the HR Office in the base. For the majority of players, two Recruitment slots will be plenty. Before you upgrade the HR office, make sure you are aware of the opportunity cost. If necessary, you can finish the “Recruit 3 Times” mission more quickly. Just be careful to time the usage of Recruitment Tickets so that there are always three available each day!
- Do Not Save Recruitment Tags – All of the current Recruitment Tags will be updated with the addition of a new Operator to the pool of candidates for recruitment. This means that a Top Operator or Senior Operator tag cannot be saved for use on a later unit. As soon as you obtain these Tags, simply apply and use them.
